Eldore Wood

Before you view Eldore's images please read this brief expanation of the process for each of the three types of process she uses. This will enhance your appreciation of the images and the work involved in creating them.

SX 70
An iamge is taken using SX70 Polaroid film. During the development stage of the image Eldore uses various wooden tools to move, mold and scatch the photograph transforming it into a miniature impressionistic image.
Image Transfer
For this process a Polroid negative is peeled prematurely from the backing and transferred to a non-photgraphic surface, such as watercolor paper or handmade paper, where it finishes the developing process.
Emulsion Lift
A thin layer of the emulsion from a developed photograph is removed by submerging it in boiling water and then sculpted, torn or stretched to create etheral photgraphs.
