A short note to all of you who have visited this site before and find that it is now quite different; we lost our website through my own OOPS and I am in the process of rebuilding it. I want to retain a similar look to the old site so it will look familiar to those of you have been here before, while also revamping it with a fresh, new look. Of course, the jewelry pages are all new, never been seen before. There will be more images to come. It takes a LOT of time to rebuild!

The unique reduction process used to create Raku pottery is best known for it's fabulous metallic colors and characteristic black/gray on unglazed areas although non-metallic glazes are also used.
As the photo shows, red-hot pottery is removed from the kiln and placed into combustible material and closed up to create an oxygen starved atmosphere.

*Please note that Raku pottery is decorative art and not appropriate for use with food or liquids.

I love the freshness of watercolors and the spontaneous effects that can occur as the paint flows through the water. It is challenging to go with the flow as this wonderful medium can be difficult to control!

The first watercolor page shows a sampling of past commissioned paintings. However, I am no longer taking commissioned work.
I love jewelry!
For years I have browsed bead shops only to leave empty handed and overwhelmed. My inspiration came when I found a strand of beautiful Lapis beads at a Gem show. The Lapis and enough sterling silver to make a necklace and bracelet ran me about $125. It was worth every penny as it's still my favorite!

I confess I am now addicted! On these pages are some examples of jewelry for sale and some I have made for family, friends or myself.
