| Once you have more than one page created, you will probably want to link them together. For instance if you created a picture gallery, you probably want people to be able to get to the gallery from your index page. First, open the index page in the editor. Next, add a "URL (Hyperlink)" wherever you want it to be on the page. In the lower section of the screen will look like this: |
![]() |
|
Click on the down arrow in the box labeled "Hyperlink". A list of your pages that you have created will appear; simply click on the page you'd like to link to. The box labeled "Text" controls what underlined text will appear on the page for your link. If we are linking to the picture gallery page, you may want to make the text say something like "Click here for pictures". The "Other" box is used to link to a site outside of your web. For instance if you wanted to link to yahoo.com, you'd type that whole URL in this box (http://www.yahoo.com is the whole URL). You can control the colors of your links with the red button at the top that says "Link Colors". |
![]() |
| To choose your link color, either click on the down arrow and select the color or type in the special color code in the next box. To see a list of colors and color codes, click on the underlined "Link Color". All of your links will be the same color. Visited Links will have whatever color is specified under "Visited". "Active" color is the color of the link when someone puts his or her mouse over it without yet clicking on it. As always click on Save to have your settings take effect. |
