Uploading Your Own Files

Say you'd like to put your own pictures on the web. Perhaps it is pictures of a wedding, a grandchild or your new puppy. First you need to get these pictures onto your computer. There are numerous ways to go about that. You can get a scanner, a digital camera or have your photos put onto a CD or floppy disk when you get them developed.

Note: It is very important to make sure that your pictures are not too large. If they are too large it will take a long time for them to be displayed on your page. Make sure your pictures are saved as either .gif or .jpg formats. You might want to get a freeware picture program to edit your pictures.

You can upload your pictures using the files section of WebNow that appears above. First click on "Browse" to find your file.

Here you want to find the file that you wish to upload. First select the proper folder under "Look in:" This file might be on your C: drive or in your "My Documents" folder. The contents of whatever folder is selected in "Look in:" will be displayed in the large center box. Once you find your file, click on it to highlight it, then click on Open.

Once you have your files listed under "Files" (you can upload up to 5 at a time), click on the "Upload File" button. Now these pictures will be available when you choose to add a graphic.
