Scooter-Man's Summer Garden 2001

ribbit, ribbit, ribbit

The corn is as high as an elephant's eye... and isn't it purty? And I grew it... ALL BY MYSELF, well, except that my neighbor and fishin' partner Bud DID start the seeds! Thanks Bud! It was good eatin' too. Farmin' lessson; stagger the plantings to spread out the harvest!
The corn is as high as my... well, it's taller than me!.
Pretty, and yummy!
Corn in the background, tassles dancing in the wind...
squash on the left... cosmos on the right.

Rumi planted the Cosmos (see below).
She picked a bundle and put them on the table. Wow, what a show! I planted a row of Zinias too (the giant variety) but they were not blooming yet when these pictures were taken. I'll put them on Summer Garden 2001, page 2.

You can see a close up of the Cosmos if you click on the picture below. Be sure to hit the BACK button on your browser to get back to this page.

This is my new Crepe Myrtle I picked up at the nursery this summer. I have wanted one for some time but had to wait until they were in bloom so I could tell what color I was getting.

More deer food....? NOT!!

Scooter-man in disguise!

Rumi(Too) got this picture of a dragonfly sitting on the tip of a Glad bulb.
Sure was nice of him to sit still so she could get this picture of him.
She was right on top of him!
Awesome dragonfly huh?

This is a pumpkin growing up, dreaming about winning a contest in the fall.

The picture below is a squash blossom. They are beautiful aren't they? No wonder the Indians used it so much in decorations. Hey, maybe Rumi should do some on a pot!

What kind of squash is this?
