Summer Gardens 2001
Page 2 Hellooooooooooooooo

So, do you want to go for a walk in my garden?
Come take a stroll with me...
Welcome to MY WORLD!
SEE MY SUNFLOWERS????????
View from the road.

She's kind of boney for my taste... but, oh well. I'd like you folks to meet my girlfriend Eunice. She doesn't say much and I like that in a woman. The picture to the left shows part of the construction I made for her. She's standing in front of my workshop and has not been stuffed yet. She still has no hands... how can she work like that? That's not right!

To the right you see her waving and greetin' visitors and neighbors. She's been hoein'. (hoe, hoe, hoe) She's not too bright, but that's ok by me. Just makes my genious intelect shine all the brighter! :-)
Say HOWDY to the nice folks, Eunice.

Usually I only let her out to go to the neighbor's Halloween party each year.
She scares people otherwise.
She aint purty, but she's all mine.
;-)

Eunice.... my girlfriend. I made her. She's MINE.
It was Rumi's idea to make her into a whole person using straw and sticks (she was just a head before). Point & click. Well, I took it a step farther. As you can see, I built her a sturdy frame with arms that can be positioned. She has a hoop skirt and a Minnie Pearl hat with a scarf that blows in the breeze. Rumi got her the clothes, but she has mighty funny legs. Give her a wave when you come by.
That's me, Standing Bear!
Standing Bear. Yep, that's me.
You know I had to get it.

He has not discouraged the deer at all though.

I bought Rumi a present recently... some stuff called Liquid Fence. It runs around $20 a bottle. Well, let me tell ya, it aint perfume! She does NOT seem awfully grateful, if you ask me. Ya see, here's our deal: I buy it and she has to spray it on the plants to keep the deer off. Seems to be working, but, you should see the cloud of flies that follow her around the yard when she is spraying once a week!! Well, I find it very amusing and entertaining, (but I don't get out much either).
Super Sunflower
I love these red and red/yellow sunflowers! They aren't as big as the yellow ones, but what they lack in size, they make up in color. I am saving some seeds from these, but I am going to have to fight the birds for them!

I planted these sunflowers in with the morning glories and gourds in the gourd arbor. The sunflowers shot up over the top of the arbor and the morning glories just climbed up them. They got so heavy with vines that they pulled some of them over.

Look at THAT!!
This sunflower is growing in my gourd arbor.
The morning glories pulled it down and right over the side. It still kept growing and being beautiful.
The colors are just.... well,.... yummy!

I aint no angel... but email me anyway.
