I AM SOARING EAGLE
I am Soaring Eagle

putt....putt... putt....putt....putt.... putt...putt.....
Meet my faithful sidekick Putt, named for the sound she makes when happily snuggled up on my chest. She's an awesome mouser, hell on lizards, and (unfortunatly) also snags the occasional Wren. Good thing she doesn't realize I had her front claws removed years ago. This so-called handicap has only served to give the birds a slight advantage. Very slight. The beast can still climb trees! You go girl!
I always turn my face toword the morning sun
Last year's sunflowers, for your viewing pleasure. These are smaller varieties than the giant ones. Still pretty. Wait until you see my sunflowers this year!
Tweet Tweet, tweetlee-deet...
I sat down at my computer one day and there was a magazine open to a page with plans for this birdhouse. Hmmm. Can it be that Rumi is learning to be subtle (a close cousin to passive agressive)? Well, I took the hint but waited just long enough that by the time I produced this she was surprised.
Rockin' Robin... tweet tweet.
Here's the finished product. Rumi painted it and I mounted it on a dark green pole and installed it prominently in the meditation garden. Now she wants more. See what happens?
I'm too sexy for my pot, too sexy for my pot...
Look at these Hybiscus blooms! They are a good 6 inches across and gorgeous. This is a sexy flower. Positively decadent!
little bitty funny flowers
Grape Hyasinth are one of the first flowers to come up in the spring. We sure enjoy seeing their bright color fill up the boxes. Soon yellow Daffodils will keep them company.

I found one!!! Rootin' around for buried treasure!
Up on the hillside I have a bed of (purple) potatoes. Digging for potatoes is like finding buried treasure... Mother Nature's Gold! I have an asparagus bed up there also. It's working on it's 3rd year. Asparagus is an exercise in patience. It takes at least 3 years to get a harvest. Soon! Yum! (not as good as tomatoes though)
